Kirsta Hackmeier

Kirsta Hackmeier is a seasoned professional in public health and policy, currently serving as the Research Director at Union Healthcare Insight since May 2023. Previously, Kirsta held the position of Program Manager at California Schools VEBA from April 2022 to May 2023, and served as a Senior Analyst and Research Analyst at the Advisory Board between June 2019 and April 2022. Earlier experience includes an Infectious Disease Intern role at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention in the summer of 2018 and a Farm Animal Protection Intern position at The Humane Society of the United States in 2016. Kirsta is pursuing a dual degree in Master of Public Health and Master of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, expected to be completed in May 2027, and holds a degree in Global Public Health and French from the University of Virginia, awarded in 2019.
