Emily Schmitt

Emily Schmitt is a seasoned professional in technology strategy and transformation, currently serving as the General Director of Technology Strategy & Transformation at Union Pacific Railroad since June 2022, following a tenure as Senior Director in the same office. With experience at Loup Logistics from September 2017 to June 2022, Emily led strategic projects, focusing on digital transformation and technology solutions. Prior roles at Union Pacific Railroad included Business Manager and Pricing Manager, along with earlier experience as a Summer Intern at Johnson Controls. Emily holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from the College of Saint Mary, a Bachelor of Science in Business and Sociology from Carthage College, and an earlier degree in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
