Lisa D. has extensive work experience in the field of education and technology.
Lisa started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Assumption School in 2005 before moving on to work as a Multi-Subject Teacher at St. Joseph Elementary School from 2007 to 2011. During their time at St. Joseph Elementary School, Lisa also served as the Director of Technology, where they were responsible for managing all aspects of technology integration into the curriculum.
In 2013, Lisa joined Holy Names High School as the Director of Instructional Innovation & STEM Initiatives. In this role, they provided leadership in faculty and staff development, designed and implemented programs to promote student-centered teaching and learning practices, and taught computer programming and computational thinking.
Lisa then moved on to work as a BTSA Support Provider at East Bay BTSA Induction Consortium, where they supported and assessed new teachers participating in the EBBIC program.
In 2014, Lisa became the Director of Innovation, Design, & Technology at Lafayette School District. In this role, they provided leadership in developing and implementing information and educational technology innovation and policies for the district. Lisa also served as a Technology Integration Coach, collaborating with administrators and instructional staff to enhance academic achievement through effective technology use.
Lisa's career also includes roles at the Krause Center for Innovation, where they served as the Assistant Director of the MERIT Program & CIO Program from 2015 to 2017 and as an Innovator in Residence from 2017 to 2019. In these positions, they focused on providing professional development and support to educators in the areas of technology integration, STEM curriculum, and makerspaces.
From 2017 to 2019, Lisa also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the Foothill-De Anza Community College District, teaching courses on technology integration and instructional technology.
Most recently, Lisa D. joined the Union School District in 2019 as the Director of Information and Instructional Technology, where they continue to lead and support technology integration efforts in the district.
Lisa D. has a diverse education history with a focus on educational leadership, administration, and instructional technology. Lisa earned a Graduate Certificate in Network & Communications Management from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2012. In 2016, Lisa completed a Preliminary Administrative Credential/Internship Administrative Credential in Educational Leadership and Administration from National University.
Lisa has also made progress towards a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational/Instructional Technology at Walden University, with the degree still in progress as of 2010.
In 2012, Lisa obtained a Clear Credential in Education - Multiple Subject from the East Bay BTSA Induction Commission. In 2009, they earned a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) degree in Instructional Leadership and a California Teaching Credential from Argosy University San Francisco Bay Area.
Prior to that, Lisa received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Ashford University in 2006.
Additionally, Lisa has obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. Lisa became a Certified Chief Technology Officer (CCTO) through CITE California IT in Education in November 2021. Lisa also holds a Tier II Administrative Services Credential from CTC, obtained in June 2015. Lisa is a Google for Education Certified Innovator, certified by Google in July 2014. Lisa is a Microsoft Innovative Educator, recognized by Microsoft Partners in Learning in May 2013. Lisa also possesses a California Multisubject Teaching Credential - Clear from the State of California Teaching Commission, obtained in March 2010.
Most recently, Lisa obtained a Clear California Tier II Administrative Credential from the San Mateo County Office of Education in 2020.
