Rey Leal

Rey Leal is currently the Lead Engineer at Union Square Media. Prior to this, Rey was a Full Stack Developer at Caravant from January 2017 to May 2017. There, Rey was responsible for all front-end web development for the Caravant web application. This included using languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with jQuery. For the backend of the Caravant web application, Rey used the Ruby on Rails MVC framework as well as SQL to create search functionality. The languages used here were Ruby and SQL. Other skills Rey utilized while at Caravant include Agile methodology, Git, creating ERB diagrams to plan out database structure, wireframing front-end designs, and mobile development. From January 2017 to June 2017, Rey was also a Teaching Assistant at Wyncode Academy.

Rey Leal has a background in software development from Wyncode Academy and is certified in Full Stack Web Immersive from the same school. Rey also has a certification from the American Red Cross in Shallow Water Lifeguard and is certified in OSHA Certification from OSHA-Safety-Training.com.
