Samantha van Velzen

Samantha van Velzen is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Manager & Counsel at American Express since April 2022. With a strong background in fundraising and governance, Samantha has been a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Annual Fundraising Gala for Unionville Home Society since October 2011, achieving notable fundraising milestones. Additional experience includes roles as Legal Counsel at fabriik and AFEX, along with an articling position at Cineplex. Educational qualifications include a Certificate of Qualification in Law and a Graduate Entry LLB from City, University of London, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Dalhousie University. Samantha is also an active member of the Women's Law Association of Ontario, contributing to programming and finance initiatives.
