Mohamed AlShaari, Ph.D.

Mohamed AlShaari, Ph.D. has over 30 years of work experience. Mohamed is currently the Chief Data Scientist at Unique Computing LLC, where they consult as a Data Science/AI Specialist for large companies. Mohamed leads and implements Data Science projects and fills a hands-on Data Scientist role within teams to deliver solutions and ensure business progression. Prior to this, they worked as a lecturer at the University of Benghazi from 2012 to 2014, and as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Garyounis from 2008 to 2012. Mohamed also has experience as the Founder of a research and development unit at Kortoba Company, where they led a research group in developing Arabic software applications in the fields of computer graphics and Arabization. Mohamed oversaw system development from concept to completion and was involved in hands-on data engineering, software architecture, and development.

Dr. Mohamed AlShaari holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Artificial Intelligence - Speech Recognition from the Florida Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Artificial Intelligence from Benghazi University between 2005 and 2008. Mohamed'seducational journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Benghazi, where they studied from 1985 to 1990. Before pursuing higher education, they completed their high school education at Benghazi high school from 1982 to 1984. In addition to their formal education, Dr. AlShaari also obtained a certification in Learning Cloud Computing: Core Concepts from LinkedIn in October 2017.
