Ashwin Kumar Sirimalla

Ashwin Kumar Sirimalla has a diverse portfolio of work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Ashwin started their career as a Test Analyst at ANZ in 2008, where they worked on a project for the bank's Internet Banking application. Ashwin then joined TAL Life in 2008 as an Agile Test Analyst, where they were involved in various testing activities like GUI testing, system testing, and usability testing.

In 2011, Ashwin joined CGU Insurance as a Functional/Integration Test Analyst, where they reviewed and understood business specifications and integration design documents. Ashwin also performed extensive database verification testing using DB2 Visualiser and Oracle SQL Developer.

After that, Ashwin worked as a Senior Test Analyst at Coles from 2013 to 2015. Their responsibilities included reviewing and understanding business/technical requirements, creating test cases, executing test cases, and raising defects.

From 2015 to 2016, Ashwin worked as an ETL Test Analyst at Superpartners, where they reviewed and understood data transformation and migration solution architectures and executed SQL queries to verify successful data migration.

In 2016, Ashwin joined LUCRF Super as a Senior Test Analyst/UAT Lead. Ashwin reviewed and understood business/technical requirements, created test cases, executed test cases, and raised defects.

Ashwin then joined Coles again in 2018, this time as a Digital Test Lead/Manager. Their responsibilities included defining and communicating the test strategy for the Digital Payment Solution project, producing detailed test plans, and leading and coordinating testing activities with multiple vendors and stakeholders.

In 2021, Ashwin worked at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic) and RACV as a Senior Test Analyst and Senior Test Consultant, respectively. In these roles, they performed various testing activities and provided updates on test planning and execution activities.

Currently, Ashwin is working at UniSuper as a Project Test Lead. Their responsibilities include reviewing and understanding business/technical requirements, defining the test strategy, designing and developing test plans, leading and coordinating test execution activities, and producing test execution summary reports.

Ashwin Kumar Sirimalla holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology from Central Queensland University. In addition, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. In September 2019, they earned the Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate certification and the Microsoft Professional Program in DevOps certification. Prior to that, in August 2019, they obtained the Advanced Level Test Manager (CTAL) certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board. In November 2011, they earned the Agile Team Facilitation Certification (ICP-ATF) from Softed (Software Education Group), and in June 2011, they obtained the ISTQB FOUNDATION LEVEL certification from ANZTB.
