Laura Pisati has extensive work experience in the legal and compliance field. Laura started their career as a Legal Trainee at Brembo S.p.A. from March 2011 to August 2011, where they primarily worked on drafting and reviewing commercial agreements in English. Laura then returned to Brembo S.p.A. as a Legal Trainee from May 2012 to November 2012, where they gained more autonomy in their work and focused on international commercial agreements and intellectual property rights.
After their time at Brembo S.p.A., Laura worked as a Legal and Compliance Consultant at Medtronic from November 2013 to March 2014. In this role, they created an operational compliance system for the company NGC Medical S.p.A. Laura then interned at Medtronic from May 2013 to October 2013, where they supported the legal and compliance team in contract administration, reviewed agency and distribution agreements, and participated in conference calls with the European Headquarter.
Laura also has experience in the public sector, as they worked as a Trainee in the Secretariat of the Committee on Legal Affairs at the European Parliament from October 2014 to February 2015. Following this, they briefly worked as a Competition Consultant at Medtronic from June 2014 to September 2014.
Most recently, Laura held the position of Recruitment Consultant at the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation from January 2018 to March 2018. Laura was responsible for selecting profiles for admission to the Vulcanus in Japan program, gathering intelligence on students' backgrounds and skills, and conducting a multi-criteria assessment of candidates.
In April 2018, Laura joined Uni Systems as a Project and Contract Support Officer, focusing on providing support to EU institutions.
Laura Pisati earned their Bachelor's degree in International Studies and European Institutions from Università degli Studi di Milano in 2009. Laura then pursued a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs at the same university from 2009 to 2012. Continuing their education, Laura completed a Master's degree in Law from Università degli Studi di Milano between 2012 and 2014. Most recently, they attended the Brussels School of Competition from 2016 to 2017, where they obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Competition Law and Economics.
