Software Engineer at Uni Systems

Nikolaos Samaras has extensive work experience as a Software Engineer. Nikolaos started their career at Siemens in 2007, working on the OpenScape Voice project. Nikolaos then joined the General Greek Secretariat for Information Systems in 2009, where they worked on European and Greek projects. In 2011, they moved to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), participating in various web application projects. Nikolaos later worked at TRASYS GREECE as a Software Engineer on projects for the European Commission of Climate Action, the European Chemicals Agency, the European Medical Agency, and EudraVigilance. Most recently, they joined UniSystems, where they continue to work as a Software Engineer on projects for the European Commission of Climate Action.

Nikolaos Samaras completed their Bachelor of Science in Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus, Greece, from 2000 to 2005. Nikolaos then pursued a Master's Degree in Internet Computing at the University of Surrey from 2005 to 2006. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 7 Programmer from Oracle in December 2015, and the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer in May 2014. Nikolaos also acquired certifications in Design Patterns, Software Architecture, and Object-Oriented Design from the University of Alberta in November 2020.
