Amy Cortina has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Amy began their career as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where they conducted a SWOT analysis, initiated health initiatives, and managed the construction of a health clinic. Amy then worked as a Surf and Service Program Guide at Rustic Pathways, where they organized community service projects and served as a liaison between the organization and local communities in Costa Rica. Amy also served as an Activities Manager at the Sunshine Kids Foundation, where they organized events and cultivated relationships with donors and volunteers. Amy has held various roles at different organizations, including UNITE-LA, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, and Georgetown Day School, where they focused on strategic partnerships, data management, and research. Amy has experience in program evaluation, project management, and team leadership. Amy currently holds the position of Senior Vice President at UNITE-LA.
Amy Cortina earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder from 2000 to 2004. Amy later pursued a Master's degree in International Affairs from UC San Diego, which they completed from 2010 to 2012.
