Iris Shahini

IRIS SHAHINI, PhD, is an experienced finance and accounting professional currently serving as Internal Control Manager at the United Bank of Albania since May 2023. Prior to this role, IRIS was a Lecturer of Managerial Accounting at the University of New York Tirana from September 2019 to May 2023 and a part-time professor of Cost and Managerial Accounting at the University of Tirana from September 2007 to May 2023. IRIS also held various managerial positions at Alpha Bank Albania, including Human Resources Manager and Retail Credit Department Manager, overseeing credit portfolio quality and risk assessment. Earlier experience includes a Specialist role in the Banking Commercial Department at Banka Kombetare Tregtare. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Tirana and ACCA certification obtained in the UK.
