James Shofner

James Shofner has extensive experience in senior credit roles and risk management. James currently serves as the SVP, Senior Credit Officer at United Community Bank, where they lead a team and is responsible for credit adjudication and guidance for various lines of business. Prior to this, they worked at Truist as the Geography Credit Leader for Commercial Real Estate in the Centralized Lending Unit. Following this, they pursued a Master of Divinity degree in Theology, Greek, and Hebrew from Covenant Theological Seminary from 1982 to 1985.
