Jerry Duan

Jerry Duan has a strong background in treasury analytics and stress testing. Jerry started their career in 2000 as a Project Manager at Huawei before transitioning to Oriental Cable Network Co., Ltd. as a Manager in the Banking and Finance Department. In 2008, they joined ATB Financial, where they served as the Senior Manager of Capital and Balance Sheet Metrics for six years. In 2014, they became the Treasurer at BlueShore Financial. Since 2015, Jerry has been with United Community Bank, starting as the DFAST, Capital and Forecasting Manager, and working their way up to Senior Vice President and Director of Treasury Analytics & Stress Testing. Throughout their roles, they have been responsible for various tasks related to interest rate risk management, liquidity stress testing, capital stress testing, fund transfer pricing, and net interest margin budgeting/forecasting. Additionally, Jerry has displayed leadership skills by leading bank-wide Artificial Intelligence innovations.

Jerry Duan holds a Master of Science in Data Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed an MBA in Financial Engineering from the Schulich School of Business - York University from 2006 to 2009. Jerry also has a Master of Science in International Business from the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, which they obtained from 1997 to 2000. Jerry'sundergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, acquired from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Jerry Duan has obtained multiple certifications including Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from CFA Institute, Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), and a certification as a registered accountant in China from the Shanghai Institute of Registered Accountants.
