Leslie Hannah has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. They are currently serving as the Director of Education at the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians since July 2021. In addition to this role, Leslie has been an Adjunct Professor of Languages at Rogers State University since August 2013, teaching Cherokee language and English Composition. They have also been involved with USA Softball since 1979, working as a Professional Umpire and Deputy Commissioner of USA Softball of Oklahoma. Leslie has officiated games at various levels, including USA Softball, NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA. Additionally, Leslie has held positions as an Executive Board Member at the Cherokee Historical Society from January 2013 to October 2017 and as a Professor at Northeastern State University from January 2010 to May 2013. Lastly, Leslie was part of the Sequoyah Commission at the Cherokee Nation from 2008 to 2013.
Leslie Hannah pursued their Ph.D. from 1999 to 2002 at Oklahoma University. Leslie specialized in the field of Native American Literature, Composition, and Rhetoric during their doctoral studies.
