Zarlasht Halaimzai is the Founder and CEO of Amna, an organization providing psychosocial support to refugees affected by trauma, war, and displacement since March 2016. Zarlasht currently serves as a Trustee for UK for UNHCR and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Migration Policy Unit at IPPR, which focuses on immigration and integration policy analysis. Previous roles include being an Editorial Board Member for Early Childhood Matters at the Bernard van Leer Foundation and an Obama Fellow, selected from a global pool to support civic innovation. Additional experience includes consulting positions at Save the Children International and People in Need, co-founding The Skills Lab, and judging the MacArthur Foundation's 100&Change competition. Zarlasht holds a Master's degree in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy from the University of Oxford and has engaged in diverse educational initiatives across several prestigious institutions.
