Monica Harps-Wilson

Monica Harps-Wilson currently serves as a Social Worker and Clinical Support Services Worker at UMFS, where responsibilities include assessing client needs in the Therapeutic Foster Care program, conducting home visits, and providing ongoing support to resource parents. Additionally, Monica offers clinical support services, advocates for clients, and documents treatment progress while also managing after-hours emergencies. Previously, Monica gained extensive experience as a Residential Coach I at The Barry Robinson Center, managing residents, fostering therapeutic relationships, and ensuring their well-being. Other roles include working as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at the National Counseling Group and as a Mental Health Counselor at Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Human Services from Regent University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Sociology from Old Dominion University.
