Adan Hassan Ahmed

Adan Hassan Ahmed is a Local Government Finance Specialist at UNCDF, a position held since September 2010, where responsibilities include designing and implementing intergovernmental block grants and budget allocations, as well as supporting local public financial management systems. Previously, Adan served as a Programme Specialist, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing program sustainability and impact. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Coordinator for the UNDP/UN Joint Programme for Local Governance, where guidance and technical assistance were provided to the Ministry of Interior in Somaliland, alongside supervising consultants and managing project communications. Adan holds two Master's degrees in Business Administration, specializing in Project Management and Finance and Accounting, from Preston University, completed in 2006 and 2005 respectively.
