Ana Maria Quintero is an experienced Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights, Peace Mission Support Section since March 2021. Quintero previously served as a National Liaison Officer for the United Nations, focusing on coordination with governmental agencies and civil society from May 2019 to March 2021. From October 2014 to April 2019, Quintero worked as an Advisor to the Division of Operations at OHCHR, providing support for the implementation of peace accords in Colombia. Prior roles include engagement with human rights defenders at Coordinación Colombia-Europa-Estados Unidos and project management in Colombia and Ecuador with Fundación Instituto de Estudios Políticos para América Latina y África. Quintero holds multiple degrees in Political Science, Government, and Human Rights from esteemed institutions, including a Master's degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
