Liza Brenda Sekaggya

Liza Brenda Sekaggya is a seasoned Human Rights Officer with extensive experience in the United Nations system since 2006, currently serving in the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights as a focal point for Southern Africa. Responsibilities include providing technical advice on human rights, supporting civil society, and promoting human rights advocacy. Liza has also co-founded and serves as President of PHENOMENAL WOMEN GLOBAL, and has held various roles that involve legal advising, capacity building for national human rights institutions, and engaging with UN treaty bodies. Educational credentials include a Master's in International Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham and multiple qualifications from esteemed institutions such as Harvard University.
