Sulini Sarugaser Hug serves as a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since September 2021, focusing on the Children Affected by Armed Conflict agenda. Previously, Sulini held various roles within the UN, advising on the compliance of international human rights conventions and conducting fact-finding missions. Sulini has experience as a Human Rights Legal Advisor and Legal Counsel, providing legal advice and conducting research on human rights issues. In addition to human rights work, Sulini is a trained Yoga Instructor, offering classes in multiple styles and languages. Education includes a Licentiate of Laws and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Arts from Queen's University, and an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
