Irina Punga

Irina Punga is an experienced Programme Management Officer with the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) since May 2018, where key responsibilities include drafting programme budgets and reports, preparing strategic reviews, and overseeing gender and diversity initiatives. Prior roles include Professor at Universidad De La Salle Bajío and Director of MCXi Strategic Communications Branch at GroupOne Unlimited Media Innovation, where management of teams and projects was paramount. Irina has a strong academic background with a Master's degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from Soka University of America, complemented by a TESOL certificate. Notable achievements include winning third place in the UN75 photographic competition and engagement in various communication and project management roles across different organizations.
