Animesh Kumar

Animesh Kumar is a Head of Office at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction. Prior to this role, Kumar served as Deputy Head of Office at UNDRR in Asia and Africa. With a background in research and vulnerability assessment, Kumar also worked as a VAM Officer and Programme Adviser at the World Food Programme. Kumar holds a PhD in Watershed Management and has a strong focus on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
