Wawa Damane is an experienced professional with a diverse background in international consulting, management, and enterprise development. Currently serving as an International Consultant at the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation since June 2019, Wawa Damane has focused on the conceptualization of the African Women in STEM program. As the Managing Director of Yame Unique Crafts since March 2011, Wawa Damane manages distribution channels for craft art products and high-end African-themed bed linen on a global scale. Previous roles include Deputy Chairman of the National Heritage Council, CEO of the Small Enterprise Development Agency, and Chief Director of Enterprise Development at the Department of Trade and Industry in South Africa. Wawa Damane holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration and Management from Rhodes University and has foundational education from the University of Fort Hare.
