John Dutt

John Dutt has extensive work experience in the field of information security and technology governance. John is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at UNFI, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to this, they were the SVP of Information Security, IT Governance, and Enterprise Architecture at UNFI from October 2018 to January 2020. From September 2016 to October 2018, they held the role of National Vice President of Information Security, Risk, Compliance, and Disaster Recovery at UNFI.

Before joining UNFI, John Dutt worked at Cartus for 17 years, starting in February 1999 and leaving in August 2016. During their time at Cartus, they held the position of CISO and Senior Vice President of Global Information Security and Infrastructure. In this role, they were responsible for creating the strategic direction and managing information security and infrastructure globally for the company.

Prior to their work at Cartus, John Dutt had a long career at AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Bell Laboratories. John started in January 1988 and left in February 1999. At Bell Laboratories, they served as a District Manager and played a key role in the development of web-based contact center technologies. John received the President's Award for Excellence Gold Medal in 1996 for their outstanding contributions to offer/product development. John also held various roles in large account support at AT&T, where they received the President's Award for Outstanding Performance in 1995. Throughout their career at AT&T, they were promoted multiple times.

John Dutt has attended Access Data Digital Forensics to receive training in digital forensics. John holds a BA degree in Psychology from Manhattan College. John'shigh school education was completed at JFK High School, where they earned an academic degree in pre-college studies. Additionally, they attended St. Peter's Grade School in Skokie, Il for their primary education. In terms of certifications, they obtained the CISSP certification from ISC2 in 2008 as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
