Saumya Kothari

Saumya Kothari is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in optical coatings and thin film technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at United Protective Technologies since May 2023, Saumya focuses on advanced thin film coatings to enhance the performance and lifespan of devices in extreme environments. Previously, Saumya held roles as a Senior Process Engineer at Teledyne FLIR and an Optical Thin Film Process Engineer at Digital Optics Corporation, where responsibilities included designing and developing optical coatings, managing coating operations, and leading a team of technicians. A Six Sigma Green Belt, Saumya has a robust background in process development and quality assurance, complemented by a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Nanotechnology from The University of Tulsa and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University.
