Mariellen Jewers

Mariellen Jewers, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the field of public policy and international affairs, currently serving as a Diaspora and Civic Engagement Advisor for the United States Agency for International Development since August 2023. With a robust background in migration and economic stabilization, Jewers held positions as Technical Advisor at Creative Associates International and Chief Operating Officer at Project Alianza. As a co-founder and Vice President of the Open Avenues Foundation, Jewers has actively supported foreign nationals in building successful paths in the United States. Previous roles include Executive Director at Women Encouraging Empowerment Inc. and Research Scientist at The George Washington University's Milken Institute School of Public Health, where high-quality partnerships and impactful evaluations were established.
