Muzhgan Yarmohammadi

Muzhgan Yarmohammadi is an experienced professional in the field of research and program management, currently serving as an Afghanistan Research Analyst at the United States Institute of Peace since August 2023. Prior to this role, Muzhgan held multiple positions at Marymount University, including Research Fellow and DEI Assistant Director, where presentations were delivered on Afghan women's rights and issues of ethnic conflict, while also serving as the DEI Advisory Board Chairperson. Muzhgan's previous experience includes a significant tenure as a Senior Program Officer at the United States Institute of Peace, focusing on women's access to justice, and as a Program Manager at the National Democratic Institute, promoting political participation among female candidates. Additionally, Muzhgan worked as a Project Officer at Handicap International, coordinating support programs for people with disabilities. Muzhgan holds a Master's degree in International Relations, Peace Building, and Diplomacy from Kardan University, completed in 2023.
