Lara Keathley

Lara Keathley has a strong background in human resources and organizational development. Lara currently holds the position of Vice President, People, Culture & Governance at the United Way for Southeastern Michigan, where they have been since 2020. Prior to this role, Lara served as the Executive Director of People & Culture at the same organization. Lara also worked as the Senior Director of Human Resources at the United Way from 2020 to 2021.

Before joining the United Way, Lara was the Vice President of Employee Services at Christian Financial Credit Union from 2016 to 2020. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as an Education and Training Consultant at CU Solutions Group, where they helped credit unions develop training plans and meet monetary goals.

Earlier in their career, Lara served as the Chief Culture Officer/HR Manager at the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates from 2013 to 2014. Lara also held the position of Director of Training and Human Resources at Advantage One Credit Union from 2003 to 2013.

Lara Keathley holds a Masters Certificate in Human Resources from Eastern Michigan University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Lara also attended CUNA Management School from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Certified Credit Union Executive- CCUE degree in Credit Union Management and Development. In addition, they have a Master of Arts degree in Women's and Gender Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, Literature and English, both from Eastern Michigan University. Lara Keathley has additional certifications including Certified Credit Union Executive and is a SHRM-SCP.
