Regina Ashley

Regina Ashley has extensive work experience, starting from 1997 to the present. Regina currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at the United Way of Central Indiana since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Contractor/Consultant at SIVIC SOLUTIONS GROUP, LLC from October 2021.

From 2015 to 2022, Regina held various roles at the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, including Chief Of Staff, Chief Unemployment Insurance and Workforce Solutions Officer, Chief Workforce Officer, Interim Commissioner, and Chief Strategy Officer. Regina also served as the Associate COO of Policy and Executive Director of the State Workforce Innovation Council during this time.

Regina worked as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law from 2019 to 2021, teaching Constitutional Law for L.L.M. students.

Prior to that, they worked as the Deputy Director at the Indiana Department of Child Services from 2007 to 2015.

Their legal experience includes roles as a Magistrate at Marion County Superior Court, Juvenile Division from 2003 to 2005, an Associate Attorney at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP from 2001 to 2003, an Associate Attorney at Jenner & Block from 1999 to 2001, and an Associate Attorney at Thompson Coburn LLP from 1997 to 1999.

Regina Ashley completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice at Indiana University Bloomington from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Indiana University Maurer School of Law from 1994 to 1997.
