Amanda McMillian

Amanda McMillian is the current President & CEO of United Way of Greater Houston. Amanda has held this position since August 2019. Prior to this, they were the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation from August 2012 to August 2019. Amanda McMillian has also worked as Counsel for Western Gas Partners, LP from January 2008 to August 2012 and Counsel for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation from December 2004 to January 2008. Amanda began their career as Counsel for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP from September 1998 to December 2004.

Amanda McMillian has a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law, a Master of Arts in Political Science from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southwestern University. Amanda also has certification from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) as a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional.
