Sarah Bartley has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Sarah started their career in 2005 as a Development & Communications Coordinator at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), where they played a key role in promoting affordable housing and building a fundraising program. Sarah then worked as External Relations for Catholic Charities programs before becoming a Private Consultant, offering strategic planning and graphic design support to nonprofit organizations. In 2013, they joined North Shore United Way as a Project Manager. In 2015, Sarah joined United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley as a Senior Director of Community Impact and later as Vice President, Safe & Stable Housing.
Sarah Bartley received their Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Gordon College in the years 2001 to 2005. Sarah then pursued a Core Certificate from the Institute for Nonprofit Management & Leadership at Boston University from 2012 to 2013. Currently, they are enrolled in the LEADS Fellowship from 2022 to 2023.
