Amalia Vavala

Amalia Vavala currently serves as Manager of Donor Impact and Volunteerism, as well as Manager of Resource Development at United Way of New York City, where previous roles included Senior Associate of Resource Development. Vavala co-founded SHAPELESS PRESS, an independent publishing project aimed at supporting underrepresented creators in the publishing industry. Vavala's past experience includes serving as Associate Director of Development and Operations at Episcopal Charities of New York, where significant achievements included a 253% increase in web engagement and a record fundraising year. Additional roles span various organizations, including administrative positions, editorial internships, and educational support, complemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from Fordham University.
