Sally Davis Ellwein Msw

Sally Davis Ellwein MSW, MPH, currently serves as the Chief Program and Policy Officer at United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania since September 2019, having previously held roles such as Director of Meeting Basic Needs and Independent Contractor for United for Families within the same organization. Prior experience includes Director of Program Investments at Capital Area United Way, Program Manager for Read to Succeed at United Way of Central Iowa, and Project Coordinator at Des Moines University. Earlier roles encompass leadership positions at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, Grand Street Settlement, and as a Corps Member with Teach for America. Sally holds a Master of Public Health in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University and a Master of Social Work from the same institution, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and Women's Studies from Carleton College.
