Andrew Pirkola

Andrew Pirkola has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and finance industries. Andrew is currently working at United Wholesale Mortgage as the Vice President of Architecture, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this role, Andrew served as the AVP of IT Experience from August 2020 to July 2021 and as the Team Lead for IT Experience from August 2019 to August 2020. Andrew also briefly worked as an Enterprise Architect at United Wholesale Mortgage from May 2019 to August 2019.

Before joining United Wholesale Mortgage, Andrew worked at Credit Acceptance as the Manager of Continuous Improvement from February 2017 to May 2019. Andrew also served as the Manager of Collections Applications Development from May 2016 to February 2017.

Earlier in their career, Andrew held the position of ALM Consultant & Agile Coach at Quicken Loans from October 2013 to May 2016. Andrew also worked at New World Systems as a Software Development Manager from August 2012 to October 2013, a Release Engineer from June 2010 to August 2012, and as a Software Developer from May 2008 to June 2010. Prior to that, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant at William Beaumont Hospital from March 2007 to February 2008 and at Oakland University from April 2006 to March 2007. Andrew's early work experience includes a role as a Shift Manager at CVS Pharmacy from April 2003 to March 2006.

Throughout their career, Andrew has demonstrated proficiency in various technical and managerial roles, including architecture, IT experience, continuous improvement, agile coaching, software development, and research assistance.

Andrew Pirkola obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Oakland University from 2003 to 2008. Andrew later pursued their MBA in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2017. In addition, Andrew Pirkola obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in December 2014.
