Kathryn Sherman Lanham is a seasoned jazz educator and performer with extensive experience in music instruction and ensemble direction. Currently serving as Jazz Studies Faculty at DePaul University School of Music since September 2021, Kathryn oversees the DePaul Vocal Jazz Ensemble and teaches various jazz-related courses. Additionally, Kathryn works as a Program Assistant for Uniting Voices Chicago and has maintained a self-employed music career since May 2013, performing internationally and providing private lessons in voice, music theory, and piano. Previous roles include being a Voice and Piano Instructor at Flatts & Sharpe Music Co., a Graduate Jazz Voice Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas, and a Vocal Director at Bloomington Expressive Arts Training. Kathryn holds a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and a Master's Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas.
