Chamika Hippola

Chamika Hippola is an accomplished Senior Research Engineer at Universal Display Corporation, with a comprehensive background in thin film OLED design and fabrication, gained during tenure from November 2019 to the present. Previously, Chamika served as a Research Engineer II and spent six years as a Graduate Research Assistant at Ames Laboratory, specializing in vacuum thermal evaporation and engineering applications using UV laser interference lithography. An educator as well, Chamika held roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Iowa State University and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Peradeniya, contributing to physics education from lab instruction to grading responsibilities. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics and a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Iowa State University, along with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Physics from the University of Peradeniya.
