Michael Newman

Michael Newman has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Michael is currently serving as the Head of Integration and Systems Engineering at Universal Quantum since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions as a Senior Technical Fellow from March 2019 to June 2022 and as a Systems Engineering Fellow from 2015 to March 2019. Before that, they owned Koko FitClub in Fort Collins from June 2013 to December 2019. Michael also held positions at Invensas Corporation as a Principal Technologist and 3D Integration Technologies Program Manager from December 2011 to June 2013, at Medtronic as a Principal Engineer from February 2011 to December 2011, and at General Dynamics AIS as a Senior Principal Engineer/Scientist - Physics from October 2006 to February 2011. Additionally, they worked at Intel as a Senior Packaging Engineer and Manager for Electronics Packaging from 2000 to 2006, and at Lawrence Livermore National Lab as a Physicist from 1997 to 2000.

Michael Newman earned a B.S. in Physics from Colorado State University, which they attended from 1991 to 1995. Michael then pursued further education at the University of Connecticut, where they completed their Ph.D. in Physics from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, Michael Newman obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physics from the University of Connecticut in 2000.
