Muddassar Rashid

Muddassar Rashid has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Muddassar is currently working as a Quantum Hardware Engineer at Universal Quantum since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Research Associate at King's College London from January 2019 to April 2023, focusing on research activities. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southampton from June 2016 to December 2018. In 2009, they worked as a Consultant at Healthcare Locums PLC from September 2009 to August 2011. Earlier in their career, they gained research experience at prestigious institutions such as UCL, Imperial College London, and UCL again, where they worked in various research positions as an undergraduate researcher and UROP. Additionally, they gained retail experience in sales as a Sales Associate at PC World from July 2006 to August 2008.

Muddassar Rashid holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics from the University of Southampton. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Photon Science at The University of Manchester from 2011 to 2012. Muddassar also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from UCL, where they studied from 2006 to 2009.
