Andrea Gomez Alzate

Andrea G. is a PhD student at Università degli Studi di Trieste, engaged in research on Paleogene Mass-Transport Deposits and their tsunamigenic potential. Andrea has a background as a researcher involved in geological surveys for the CARG ISPRA project and previously served as the owner of a children's clothing representation business from 2010 to 2020. Professional experience also includes roles as a geologist performing geophysical and topographical surveys at Geoside Geofisica and leading field activities at GEOSEC ITALIA. Research internships were conducted at Helmholtz-Centre Potsdam and the Icelandic Institute of Natural History, focusing on field sampling and geological analysis. Andrea holds a Master's Degree in Geology from Università degli Studi di Padova.
