Luis Serra Majem

Lluis Serra Majem holds the position of Rector and Catedrático de Universidad vinculado at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since June 1995. From September 1995 to March 2021, Lluis served as Presidente of Fundacion para la Investigación Nutricional, overseeing numerous research projects within the European scope. Additionally, Lluis was Presidente of Fundación Dieta Mediterránea from April 1996 to November 2012, leading a multidisciplinary team in establishing scientific direction and priorities for the foundation. Prior to these roles, Lluis was a Profesor Titular de Universidad at University of Barcelona from September 1988 to June 1995. Lluis holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Université de Sherbrooke and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Public Health from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
