Xavier Ferre has extensive experience in the field of software design and human-computer interaction, currently serving as the Rector's Delegate for Asia and as a Profesor Contratado Doctor at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid since May 1999. Previous positions include being a Profesor Asociado focused on software engineering and usability, as well as roles such as Subdirector de Internacionalización and Vicedecano de Alumnos at the same institution. Xavier implemented several initiatives to enhance student engagement, including the Proyecto Mentor and Plan de Tutoría Curricular. Earlier experience includes working as a Technical Student at CERN, where responsibility encompassed acceptance tests of robotic equipment and system design for log file information storage. Xavier holds a Doctorate in Informatics and a Licenciado en Informática, both from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
