Jennifer Luz Lopes

Jennifer Luz Lopes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in plant breeding and data analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Data and Systems Analyst in the Genetics and Forest Improvement Management at Suzano since December 2023, Jennifer is also a co-founder of R-Ladies Goiânia, a community focused on promoting gender diversity in the R programming statistical community. An active researcher at the Federal University of Pelotas since March 2019, Jennifer has led teams in experimental deployment and plant breeding methods while engaging in data collection and analysis. Jennifer's background includes positions at Embrapa Temperate Climate and the Federal University of Santa Maria, alongside a comprehensive educational background culminating in a PhD in Plant Breeding from the Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Additional training in data analysis and statistics is currently being pursued with Professor Thiago Marques.
