Matheus Mendes

Matheus Mendes is a PhD Visiting Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology since March 2024, while concurrently serving as a Chemistry Lab Technician at Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC) since April 2014. Matheus has also held the position of PhD Research Intern at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) from September to December 2023, supported by the Mitacs Globalink Research Award. Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher at Grupo de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação em Materiais - CTIM - Unidade EMBRAPII from September 2022 to July 2023, and a Summer Intern position at iMerciv Inc. in 2015. Matheus's career began as a Chemical Analyst at Eurofins Anatech from 2010 to 2014 and as an Administrative Apprentice at Whirlpool Latin America from 2008 to 2010. Matheus is currently pursuing a PhD in Nanoscience and Advanced Materials at UFABC, complemented by a Master's degree in Nanotechnology and multiple undergraduate degrees, including Materials Engineering and Science & Technology from UFABC. Further technical education includes a technician qualification in Chemistry from Colégio Técnico Singular.
