Valeria Stefanelli

Valeria Stefanelli currently serves as Vice direttore at Dipartimento di Scienze dell'Economia - Università del Salento and as an independent advisor at Banca Popolare di Puglia e Basilicata s.c.p.a. Since June 2021, Valeria holds a position as a board member at DHITECH Scarl and has been the Delegate of the Rector for spin-off and start-up initiatives at the University of Salento since November 2015. Valeria has also been a full professor of Economics of Financial Intermediaries at Università del Salento since May 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an Arbitrator for Banking and Finance at Banca d'Italia - Eurosystem from 2016 to 2022 and completing a post-doctoral fellowship in Banking and Finance at Università di Roma Tor Vergata between 2002 and 2006. Valeria's educational background includes a PhD in Banking and Finance from Università di Roma Tor Vergata and a position as a visiting researcher at the University of Wales, Bangor in 2007.
