Gerard Torrent

Gerard Torrent is a Senior Research Scientist at Zoetis since 2019. Prior to this role, Gerard served as an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Universitat de Girona. With experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and international exposure at Universidad de Montpellier, Gerard's work has focused on discovering and characterizing bacterial virulence factors to understand their pathogenic activities. Gerard specializes in proteomics analysis and mass spectrometry to identify potential drug targets and develop strategies against infections.
