Christian Herzog

Professor For Ethical, Legal And Social Aspects Of AI at Universität zu Lübeck

Christian Herzog is currently a Professor for Ethical, Legal and Social Aspects of AI at Universität zu Lübeck and serves as the Head of the Ethical Innovation Hub, along with being a Young Academy Fellow at the Akademie der Wissenschaften in Hamburg. Prior to these roles, Christian worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Electrical Engineering in Medicine, Universität zu Lübeck, and as a Research Assistant at Hamburg University of Technology. Christian Herzog holds a Master of Arts in Applied and Professional Ethics from the University of Leeds and multiple degrees in Mechatronics and Control Systems from Hamburg University of Technology. The focus of Christian Herzog's work lies in developing new methods and guiding students to create ethical, safe, and reliable engineering solutions within transdisciplinary teams.
