Rhonda Summerbell

Rhonda Summerbell has extensive work experience in various roles within the financial industry. Rhonda began their career at Chase in 1989 as an Assistant to the Regional Vice President- Education Loans, where they gained knowledge about education loans. From 1991 to 1996, Rhonda worked at Chase/Education Finance Center as a Regional Relationship Manager, where they developed and maintained relationships with over 100 higher education institutions in Texas and the Southwest Region.

In 1996, Rhonda joined UFCU, where they held several positions. Rhonda started as the Education Lending Manager/Senior Manager of University Relations, responsible for overseeing the operations of the Education Lending staff and managing a loan volume of over $120 million per year. Rhonda then transitioned to the role of Senior Manager, University Relations/Business Development, where they focused on driving strategic relationships and partnerships with higher education partners and was involved in community boards and committees.

In 2019, Rhonda became the Director of Relationship Management, Community Impact at UFCU. In this role, they developed strategies to support UFCU's key focus areas and led a team focused on the organization's social impact. Rhonda also negotiated strategic partnerships and agreements.

From September 2021 to May 2023, Rhonda served as the Vice President of Relationship Management, where they were responsible for cross-functional collaboration, managing high-impact strategic relationships, and leading marketing and business development efforts. Rhonda achieved consistent growth in strategic partner new members and negotiated multi-year sports marketing sponsorships.

Currently, Rhonda holds the position of Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at UFCU, where they lead teams responsible for new member growth, marketing, and business development, and manages the budget for these areas. Rhonda continues to cultivate and activate corporate strategic plans and drive the success of UFCU's strategic partnerships.

Rhonda Summerbell completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing in 2005. Rhonda later attended the CUES CEO Institute from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained a BBA in Marketing, although the specific dates are unknown.
