Rick Shumway

Rick Shumway serves as the President and CEO of Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley since May 2019 and also holds the role of President and CEO at Stanford Medicine Partners since June 2022. With prior experience as Chief Administrative Officer at UC Medical Center from May 2017 to April 2019 and as Executive Director at University of Utah Health from June 2011 to May 2017, Shumway has demonstrated expertise in leading comprehensive healthcare delivery systems. Additional roles include administrative positions at UPMC and UW Medicine, showcasing a diverse background in healthcare administration. Rick Shumway holds a Master's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Health Science from Brigham Young University.
