Mohammad Khazali is a postdoctoral researcher at Universitätsklinikum Freiburg, specializing in the neural basis of human memory since March 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a visiting scientist and postdoctoral researcher at New York University's Center for Neural Science, where contributions involved large-scale neural recordings and optogenetic manipulation during eye-arm coordination tasks. Additionally, Mohammad served as a neuroscience mentor for the NYU BrainWaves Program, guiding students in brain experiment design. Previous research assistant positions at the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research and the Hospital of the University of Tübingen involved expertise in electrophysiology and data analysis. Educational background includes a PhD in Neuroscience from the Graduate School of Neural & Behavioral Sciences and a Master’s in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
