Tony Kurian

Tony Kurian, CPA, CGA, is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in budget management and financial analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Finance Partner and Senior Financial Officer at the University of Alberta since December 2016, Tony coordinates the annual budget planning process and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Previously, Tony held key positions in various organizations, including as Interim Senior Financial Officer at the City of Fort Saskatchewan and Business Analyst/Finance Manager at Covenant Health Canada, where significant contributions included developing operating and capital plans and managing capital projects. Tony's earlier roles also encompass accounting leadership at Edmonton Public Library and budget analysis for the Government of Alberta, solidifying a robust expertise in financial stewardship and management. Tony holds a CGA designation from CPA Canada and degrees from the University of Alberta and NAIT, including a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
